Just one more day until Microsoft’s Surface Event ‘21
On Wednesday, September 22nd at 11am ET Microsoft’s anual hardware event takes place. To be honest, I’m neither interested in the “normal” Surface, the Surface Book nor the Surface Studio. What I’m hyped for is on the one hand hopefully a new iteration of the Surface Duo device and maaaaybe a production ready Surface Neo — the big announced and then doomed dual screen Windows device.
It could be a huge disappointment but I really hope that Microsoft will invest in the Duo and the new dual or foldable screen device segment.
I have not the best track record with Microsoft products. I was a member of the Windows 8 Student Developer Club, my first paied job was as a Siverlight developer and I advocated Windows phone devices during my university days. That’s way it a all or nothing decision for me. If Microsoft sends the Duo to the graveyard, I’ll send Microsoft to the “it was nice but now it’s outdated”-stuff drawer and move on.
Nevertheless, let’s not paint everything black. All the rumors tend me to think that it’s maybe not over and we will see an amazing Surface Duo.
